I thought I'd do something slightly different for this weeks What I Ate Wednesday. I normally share my eats from the previous Tuesday but lately I've been thinking about how differently I eat at the weekend compared to during the week so I thought I'd share a Sunday eats with you.
Brunch
Our Sunday mornings tend to be a very lazy affair. I tend to get out of bed around 8ish and work on my YouTube channel ie. play computer games. However, Mini Greenoid was out between 10am-12pm this Sunday so I gave him breakfast before he left and continued playing computer games. Only around 11:30 did I decide I'd best have something to eat so I made yummy eggy bread. I love eggy bread but it tends to be a real treat for me these days as it's not the healthiest of eats. I tend to only have it when I've been a bit naughty the night before and I'm hung over. This Sunday I wasn't hung over but just fancied some. I made it with wholegrain bread to make myself feel slightly better about it.
Lea (lunch and tea??)
If breakfast and lunch combined is Brunch surely Lunch and Tea combined is Lea right?
This Sunday my sister, her fella and 2 kids came round. The boys and Mini Greenoid are the bestest of friends and it's lovely to get together with them as often as possible. My younger sister and mum were also there.
My mum made a kinda roast. I say kinda as it had all the trimmings of a roast dinner but no roast potatoes and no roast meat - she made chicken casserole instead. As a veggie I obviously didn't have any chicken casserole. My 'lea' consisted of new potatoes, cauliflower cheese, mash potato, a Yorkshire pudding, peas, broccoli and baby corn.
I tend to only eat 2 meals on Sundays most weeks. Sundays are generally spent at the computer working so time just runs away with me and I forget to eat. As Mini Greenoid tends not to be here on Sundays I have no one else to feed and cooking for one just isn't really that appealing so I tend not to bother.
Do you eat differently at weekends than during the week?
Do you ever have to cook for just yourself? What do you cook?

I wish I forgot to eat on Sundays! I usually end up eating more on the weekends because I'm not as busy and have more time to snack :(
ReplyDeleteOh no!! That's what I tend to do on Saturdays. I find myself continually grazing on rubbish throughout the day
