Whenever I type What I Ate Wednesday I can never put a capital on the W in Wednesday. It really annoys me and I have to go back and edit it. You'd think after all these weeks of typing it my fingers would have learned how to do that by now. Oh talking of my fingers...
I'm getting into the Halloween spirit early and rocking these cool pumpkin nails at the moment. Aren't they cute? I think I'm gonna have a little experiment with a few other designs. This nail art business is good fun - harder than it looks, but good fun.
But I digressed. You've come here to see my eats not listen to me ramble on about my lack of typing skills and my nails. So lets get on with it.
I guess I was feeling really lazy today regarding cooking and eating as nothing was really cooked. My breakfast was a quick eat, my lunch was heated up in the microwave and tea, well, tea was almost none existent...
Breakfast
Breakfast was a huge bowl of a homemade cereal type thing. What I do is mix together porridge oats, All Bran cereal, a granola type thing and maybe some raisins or other dried fruit, throw it in a big container and it's just there for when I fancy it. Today I topped it off with a small banana and some blueberries.
Lunch
Lunch was delicious left overs. Aren't left overs just the best? I think the flavours get better over a day or so in the fridge and it just always tastes much scrummier the second time round.
At the weekend my sister, her fella and 2 kids came round for tea and I made lasagne. Of course, being a veggie, I had to make a veggie alternative for myself and for lunch today I had a portion of what was leftover (which was quite a lot seeing as I made a big tray of it and only I ate it.) The recipe I used was this Aubergine Gratin and I just added a layer of lasagne sheets to make it into a lasagne and instead of tinned tomatoes I like to use my own roasted tomato sauce that my freezer is full of thanks to my tomato growing brother in law who deposits a huge box full of tomatoes on my kitchen table every few weeks.
Tea
What a sorry and pathetic looking tea this is. I got super busy in the evening. Time just ran away with me and before I knew it, it was late so I just grabbed one of these yoghurts. I'm not that keen on them but I picked a four pack up the other day and I'm not going to waste them. It's the odd blueberry layer underneath the yoghurt that I don't like. It's almost like a jelly. It's just odd. I topped it with my tired, wrinkly blueberries that definitely needed eating up.
Spot me in the spoon taking the photo?

I pretty much eat what you've got on here when I'm having a lazy day! Cereal and fruit in the morning are so easy
ReplyDeleteAgree with the breakfast thing. My problem is I've been having too many lazy eating/cooking days lately.
